During this motorbike trip you will experience the best roads and most spectacular places Morocco can offer. You will ride through the rolling hills of the Rif mountains, see Chefchaouen, the “blue pearl” of Morocco, experience the winding roads on the cliffs of the Mediterranean coast, and relax on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean enjoying fresh seafood in the magical city of Essaouira while watching the sunset above the never-ending waves. We will spend a night in a desert camp between the dunes of the Sahara, ride through the breathtaking valleys of Dades and Todra, visit the movie capital of Ouarzazate and discover the imperial city of Fes and Marrakesh.
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival to Casablanca. Transfer to your hotel, where you will be able to settle in and relax by the pool to prepare for your trip. You will meet your tour-guide, go through a short briefing session as well as the formalities required before the start and you will receive your welcome pack.
Day 2: Casablanca – Moulay Bousselham (approx. 250 km)
The first riding day will be the opportunity to get used to your motorcycle and the driving habits in Morocco. During our ride we will be tackling the coastal road heading North. We will spend the first night by the Atlantic Coast and dine on sublime seafood and have the opportunity to visit the beautiful lagoon of Moulay Bousselham.
Day 3: Moulay Bousselham – Chefchaouen (approx. 160 km)
Today we’ll continue our ride on the wonderful Mediterranean cost before heading towards the Rif mountains. We’ll see plenty of twists and turns and you will be able to admire the beauty of the rural life. Our stop for the night will be Chefchaouen, the “blue pearl”, whose architecture is still reminiscent of the lovely villages of Andalusia.
Day 4: Chefchaouen – Fes (approx. 260 km)
As we will leave Chefchaouen in the morning, our bike-trip will take us across the twisting mountain roads towards Fes. We will have a stop at the archeological site of Volubilis, which is worth a visit for history lovers. We will spend the night in a sublime riad in the heart of the Medina.
Day 5: Fes – Azrou (approx. 100 km)
In the morning we will have the chance to take a guided city visit in Fes. After lunchtime our trip will take us across the twisting mountain roads towards Azrou. Our stop for the night will be in a nice hotel on the border of the cedar forest where you can relax by the pool or discuss the day at the bar.
Day 6 : Azrou – Errachidia (approx. 260 km)
We will start the day with light gravel-riding through the forests where we’ll have the opportunity to admire the quiet setting and feed the barbary apes that live in the area. We will then tackle the climbing roads of the Middle-Atlas passing the high plateau of the mountain range. We will go through the French foreign Legion tunnel towards Errachidia before reaching our accommodation for the night.
Day 7: Errachidia – Merzouga (approx. 130 km)
Today we will start our ride to the Sahara desert. Our stop for the day will be a fine hotel in Merzouga where we will stop for a short break and leave the bikes to climb aboard the 4×4 of our guide who will take us to our camp in the dunes of the Sahara. We will admire the sunset from the dunes before dinner and then you will be able to admire the desert skyline at night. Note that in case of a rare sand storm, we will likely remain at the hotel which offers a more comfortable setting.
Day 8: Merzouga – Boumalne Dadès (approx. 220 km)
Wake up call will come early today as we’ll climb the dunes before sunrise to admire the unique effects from atop the dunes before our early breakfast. We will then have a guided tour aboard the 4×4 to visit the dunes and the sights around the area, including the coal and crystal mines.
We will pick up our bikes at the hotel and will head to the rock of the Mummy for some off-road riding and to admire the view of the desert from the top of the rocks that offer a unique sight known to only a few. Or route will take us through deserted landscapes before heading to the Todra valley to ride beneath the huge cliffs that offer a unique scenery. We will spend the night at the feet of the Atlas range in a fine hotel.
Day 9: Boumalne Dadès – Ouarzazate (approx. 180 km)
Despite the short daily distance, the riding will be exceptional. We will start our day by climbing the most photographed hairpins in Morocco in the Dades valley. A relatively short bike ride will take us to our lodging for this evening where you can enjoy a drink by the pool while taking in the wonderful sight of the lake.
In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to visit the Kasbah of Ouarzazate, the movie studios, the scenes of The Game of Thrones and wonder around the many local souvenir shops.Excellent local dishes will be served for dinner.
Day 10: Ouarzazate – Marrakesh (approx. 220 km)
Another wonderful touring day awaits us full of twists and turns, combines with beautiful surroundings as we climb the High Atlas through the famous Tizi n’Tichka pass. Before tackling the high mountain pass we will visit the UNESCO heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, the scene of multiple movie shoots. There will be plenty of opportunity to take in the view. Upon our arrival to our hotel in Marrakech you will hand over the bikes before heading to the city to explore the medina with its souks and the vibrant Jamaa el Fna place with its snake charmers and food stalls.
Day 11: Rest day in Marrakesh
Day 12: Marrakesh – Essaouira (approx. 190 km)
Our next day will we descend to the vast planes that lay between the Atlas and the Atlantic Ocean. Our ride will take us through smaller country roads before arriving to the laidback coastal town of Essaouira. You will have the chance to explore the old medina, walk on the wide sandy beach, make a nice Segway ride or enjoy the laid back souks and stellar seafood.
Day 13: Essaouira – Oualidia (approx. 200 km)
This morning we will be continuing towards Oualidia on the coastal road. On a lucky day we’ll spot the pink flamingos as they gather in the lagoons by the beach. It is also an opportunity to taste the world famous Oualidia oysters – an export product of Morocco. The afternoon we will be settling in to our SPA hotel, where you can relax by the pool or enjoy the traditional Moroccan Hammam treatments.
Day 14: Oualidia – Casablanca (approx. 190 km)
On our last riding day along the Atlantic coast first stop will be in the town of El Jadida where we will have the opportunity for walk within the old Portuguese city walls. We will arrive back to our HQ in the evening to return the bikes before your transfer to the hotel.
Day 15: Departure
Depending on your flight time, you might take the opportunity to relax or visit the city before the arranged pick-up takes you to the airport.
